“Fourteen years ago today Townes Van Zandt died. I took this photo in 1995 at the Kerrville Folk Festival, he insisted on getting his ‘git tar’ out of the cab of the truck for the picture. As I walked away, I heard him say ‘there goes my one fan’. My one wish for you is that you realized how great you were and how many of us loved you.
