Like many, I’ve been saying, “We can’t know what to teach in schools because we don’t know what the world looks like tomorrow.”
I don’t think that’s true anymore. That was true last summer. It’s not today.
Humans of tomorrow are AI orchestrators.
Not all of them, of course. Some will be lucky enough to play guitar, paint, or ride a skateboard to earn a living.
“Humans of tomorrow will be AI orchestrators” is like saying, in the 90s, “Workers of tomorrow will be computer operators.” That would have seemed crazy, since most people didn’t yet see the need for having an email account. But it turned out to be a fact. Everyone has a computer on their desk or in their hand and they couldn’t do their job without it. In fact it’s MOST true of the Uber driver or delivery person, not only high earners. Only the wealthy or the privileged can afford to “go offline”.
The productive members of society tomorrow will be orchestrators of AI, and your value as a worker will (generally speaking) be related to how good an orchestrator you are.
I am not making a judgement on if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I’m just saying it is.
