Congrats to John Grant on taking Mojo’s “Album of the Year”, 2010 (also #6 in Q and #7 in Uncut). I concur. I’m hoping to post a small year-end list (hopefully before year-end — holiday gift ideas, ya know?) but consider this a preview: John Grant’s Queen of Denmark takes the #1 slot for me, too. A very special record, instantly timeless, came out of nowhere this year. A true gem.
